My mother once said that when she was a child, there were no handphones and PSPs, no computers and consoles, and alot of the things that we have now. She spoke of playing zero-point, five stones, chapteh, hopscotch, and more with her siblings, neighbours and friends. Children of that era had happy childhoods playing with things that we seldom play, or even see, nowadays. With Lucky Crystals, we’re going to go back in time once again to the time when our parents were young. Five-stones are traditionally made of cloth sewn together to form a tiny bag or ’stone’. Fillings include sand found almost anywhere, dried beans, or even higher-class beads. Five-stones are a great boredom-killer in the early days. Almost every child has a set of them, and recess times in school are spent with friends, throwing and catching these stones.
